Announcing our Seed Round

We're beyond excited to announce that we've raised an $8.3M Seed round co-led by Balderton Capital and Chalfen Ventures. We'll be using this funding to accelerate our mission to build the world’s leading No-Code AI workflow automation platform.

Artificial Intelligence & Today's AI Tooling

AI is everywhere: It’s part of our everyday lives — whether you realize it or not. It’s already baked into almost every consumer software product and is one of the major societal topics of discussion in our day and age. However, the number of companies that actually use AI in their daily operations represents just a tiny subset of our economy.

Scarcity of talent is one of the main factors for this gap. Building robust AI models that can solve a critical business need is hard; it requires deep knowledge of AI frameworks, best practices, and keeping up-to-date with state-of-the-art technology. Comparatively few companies can afford to hire AI Engineers or even build AI teams. This makes AI an exclusive tool that only a select few large enterprises, as well as technology companies and startups, can utilize — leaving the vast majority of mid-market companies and SMEs out of the equation.

At the same time, the list of AI tooling is growing by the day, many of which claim to “democratize AI”. However, underneath all the Marketing speak, the vast majority of tools do not actually democratize AI at all. They solve individual pain points along the value chain of building and deploying AI models — for people who already are domain experts. While there is massive value in simplifying AI development for software engineers — they only make up 2.5% of the US workforce and true democratization for us means to empower the average knowledge worker.

Levity: Putting AI at everyone’s fingertips

Levity levels the playing field

Claiming to democratize AI is much easier than actually doing it, so we’ll let the numbers do the talking: More than 95% of our users have no technical background and did not have much previous knowledge about AI when they signed up for Levity.

By radically reinventing the interface layer for AI, we have created an experience that is simple, yet elegant, and lets users build their own custom AI models — which we call AI Blocks — within minutes while leaving very little room for error.

We enable our customers to integrate their AI Blocks into existing workflows via Levity-native integrations, or via Zapier. We provide them with an AI solution that covers end-to-end workflows, without the need for teams of engineers or complex technical tools.

The Rise of No-Code

The rise of No-Code

Each new wave of No-Code software has made increasingly complex technology available to the average business user. From No-Code website builders (Wix), to web apps (Bubble), tool-to-tool automation (Zapier), and relational databases (Airtable), knowledge workers have received access to increasingly powerful building blocks and toolkits over the past decade.

Putting the power of AI at knowledge workers’ fingertips is the next frontier. While AI as a technology is arguably more complex than these earlier waves of no-code, it promises huge rewards to those who manage to put it to good use. By empowering non-technical users to build their own AI-powered workflow automations, AI is poised to finally reach mass-market adoption.

The Right Partners: Balderton & Chalfen Ventures

Thilo and I could not be more excited to partner with Balderton and Chalfen Ventures for the next stage of our journey.

Balderton has backed European tech champions from inception such as Revolut and GoCardless, as well as leading AI companies such as Graphcore and Tessian. James and the team bring invaluable experience in building global, category-defining businesses - which we are excited to leverage in order to unleash the full potential of No-Code AI.

Mike, Founder of Chalfen Ventures, has backed a range of generational companies at their earliest stages over the course of several decades. He brings deep domain expertise in automation, thanks to early investments in Bryter and Tray.io, where he sits on the board.

Thanks!

It truly takes a village to build a successful business and trying to list everyone who supported us along the journey could fill a book. This is why I will keep things simple:

First and foremost, I want to thank our team for all their hard work and deep belief in our vision, even at times when the road ahead seemed much less clear than it does now.

I also want to thank our customers for their trust, our investors for their belief in the future we aim to create, and last but not least our friends and families for their unconditional support.
